Awakening to dance
2024: cycle of dance awareness workshops for nursery school classes
As part of the cultural passport set up by the Palaiseau cultural service, the Wazo company accompanied four nursery classes in exploring the fundamentals of dance. This awakening cycle allowed young children to discover their bodies and their expression through movement. The workshops, designed to be both fun and educational, encouraged the creativity, coordination and self-confidence of the participants. This enriching project not only awakened the children's artistic senses, but also promoted their overall development in a stimulating and caring environment.
Inclusive contact dance workshop
2024: cycle of introductory contact dance workshops between able-bodied and disabled young people from the elementary school in the commune of Étréchy
The city of Étréchy asked the Wazo Company to set up a cycle of inclusive dance workshops bringing together young elementary school students and a group of young people with disabilities from the ULIS class of the same school. This project aims to promote inclusion, understanding and mutual respect between all participants, while exploring the joys and benefits of dance. The workshops are designed to encourage collaboration, listening and personal expression through activities adapted to each individual. Developing children's motor skills, self-confidence and social skills, while creating an environment where each participant feels valued and included, are the intentions of this initiative. By sharing common artistic experiences, this cycle of workshops contributes to building a more united school community that is open to diversity.
