Magali Brument
Curious by nature, turned towards experimentation and dialogue between artistic forms, she is interested in traces, different spaces, and is inspired by their stories, their perceptions, their structures or their rhythms. Her work, often hybrid, has been enriched, for about twenty years, by essential encounters with visual artists, musicians, architects and dancers. With many of them, she collaborates or creates, often in "other" spaces, pieces, video dances, plastic, performative or interactive installations. She develops artistic objects with the people who live there or pass through, in educational, care, disability and multicultural and travel contexts. A passionate teacher, she has taught for many years, mainly in the conservatories of Ile-de-France. She also holds a master's degree in Arts Therapy (University of Paris 5) and a master's degree in analysis and writing of the Laban movement (National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris).
Mon plus bel exploit ! - 2024
This project meets four residents and four actors. Together, with the complicity of all the artists gathered for this project, the videographer Benoit Serre and the photographer Vasilios Ntontis, we invent figures, between personal and imaginary narrative, by making four short films and a photographic journey telling "My greatest achievement!"
L'Odelapo - 2024
As part of the Cultural Summer, L'Odelapo is a unique creation where dancers wander around the built heritage of Milly-la-Forêt. Through their poetic presence, they reinvent and transform the space, invoking ancient figures while questioning everyday life. This dance performance dialogues with the places, offering a sensitive reflection on the history and memory that permeate these walls, while offering a new reading of the present.
